The margin is where the work begins
Good work makes room for the parts of a problem that have not yet announced themselves. The margin is not empty; it is where observation becomes useful.
When a team protects a little unclaimed time, it can notice the person missing from the meeting, the sentence that makes a decision clearer, or the small friction that will otherwise become policy.
